Week 1!

So we've got the 1st week under our belt and Geyser is settling in quite nicely ! We don't have to crate him durring the day and we only put the belly band on when we leave the house ! Banksy and Gus have become best buds !
This past Saturday we went to my grandmas house to visit and He did very well with my grandparents yellow lab! There were also a lot of people in and out of the house and Gus stayed very calm, he actually just curled up on the couch and took a little nap !

Old faithful

WOW! over 90 views in 2 days ! That is awesome ! I am so grateful for all my friends sharing on Facebook !!!

So anyways, Geyser (Gus) is doing great ... Yesterday we started crate training ... Which went a lot better than I expected. Gus hated being in the crate but I tried putting his food dish and some treats in there and after about an hour he was laying in there with the door open!!!

Eventually I took his food dish out and he stayed in the crate for about 10 min!! Haha but it's a start!

Our Very First Foster

This past Saturday we traveled down the road to Tailwagging' doggie daycare to meet our first foster dog! Meet Geyser (Gus) He is a 4 year old silky terrier dachshund mix that is up for adoption through Fluffy Dog Rescue in Hartland, WI http://rescue.fluffydog.net/ click on the link to check out all of the adorable available dogs for adoption!

Geyser (Gus)

He was extremely affectionate from the very beginning!  At first he was a little unsure about the car ride but after a few miles he wanted to drive! The first 2 days were a little rough... we had some potty issues, and a lot of separation anxiety. Slowly but surely I know Gus is going to fit right in with our little family!

As 4 days have gone by Gus has come out of his shell and has really shown us his big personality !
He loves cuddling, and taking naps. As for the potty issues we got a belly band from Petco and that has helped a lot. He doesn't like the crate at all but he is perfectly fine left to roam the house ... he usually just sleeps anyways. He really is a big sweetheart and I cannot wait to post more info as we get to know him more!

About Us!

Alright, so we are new to the foster world but we are going to try our very best to find our first foster dog a great forever home!

A little about us ! My name is Ashley and my boyfriends name is J.P. and we have one little fuzzball of our own! His name is Banksy. He is a 1.5 year old Pomeranian Poodle Bichon mix! We are very excited to see how he will get along with a new dog in the house. We live in Waukesha, Wisconsin and both have a love for baseball (Go Brewers)! We are so excited to open our home to dogs in need!
